Irish Republican Brotherhood
Bráithreachas Phoblacht Na hÉireann
The IRB are here to today and here to stay to lead the way
The Irish Republican Brotherhood (IRB) Bráithreachas Phoblacht Na hÉireann was founded in Dublin on the 17th of Match 1858. It succeeded the United Irishmen of the 1790’s and the Young Irelanders of the 1840’s. In the face of relentless British oppression and coercion acts it was by necessity a secret oath-bound fraternal organisation. It dedicated itself unambiguously to the establishment of an “Independent Irish Republic“.
Its counterpart in the United States of America was organised by John O’Mahony as the ‘Fenian Brotherhood’ and later ‘Clan Na Gael’. Members of both wings of the movement were commonly referred to as “Fenians”. From its inception the IRB played a key role in the evolution of Irish politics and modern Irish history. From its inception, it was the chief advocate of republicanism and a relentless campaigner for Ireland’s independence.
People Rule
Because of the IRB’s stated commitment to republicanism, that is, “the common people are the rightful rulers of their own destiny,” the founding members saw themselves as “furious democrats in theory” and declared their movement to be “wholly and unequivocally democratic.” Being a democrat and an egalitarian in the mid-19th century was tantamount to being a revolutionary, and was feared and vilified by the both the Church and Ireland’s elite political ruling English establishment.
The New Departure
As part of ‘The New Departure’ of the 1870s and ’80s, the IRB encouraged its members to play key roles in campaigns to democratise the Home Rule League and its successor, the Irish Parliamentary Party, as well as taking an active part in the Land War.
The IRB became culturally involved in the creation and founding of the GAA and The Gaelic League. It became politically involved in the creation of Sinn Fein, The Irish Volunteers and Cumann Na mBan.
The Irish Republican Brotherhood, during that era saw itself as the active and driving spirit of the Irish people and the Nation.
The Irish Republican Brotherhood must again assume that role as the Irish Nation and its people are currently under the greatest and most sustained threat – from within and without – since the near destruction of the nation by Oliver Cromwell.
The Easter Rising & Dail Eireann
The IRB organised and staged the Easter Rising in 1916, which led to the 1918 general election victory and the establishment of Dáil Éireann in 1919.
The Counter Revolution
The suppression of Dáil Éireann by the British resulted in the War of Independence. This led to a truce followed by the British imposed 1921 Anglo-Irish Treaty that was ‘agreed’ under the threat of “Immediate and terrible war” by British Prime Minister Lloyd George. The country was divided as a result with the British retaining six north eastern counties run by an apartheid puppet parliament that resulted in a tottering failed ‘Northern Ireland’ statelet that they prop up to this day.
With the collusion of their counter revolutionary creation, the “Irish Free State” the British created a puppet parliament in Dublin and a “Free State” army. That resulted in a civil war to suppress the Irish Republic and Dail Eireann. That was the British establishments revenge on the Irish Republicans who brought them to their knees during the war of independence (1919-1921). The Oireachtas run from Leinster House to this day is the continuation of that British creation. Despite its spurious claims it is not Dáil Éireann which was established in 1919.
The IRB’s Current role
The foregoing has led to the IRB’s continuation and its current aims and aspirations. Today’s IRB objectives can be made not just possible, but a reality, by developing the IRB into a vast Irish people’s movement. The time for that was never riper than it is now. We the Irish people must form a united front to take back our country.
While we are a political movement, we are not party political. Neither are we an oath bound secret organisation. That was a wartime requirement and is no longer necessary. Despite contrary assertions, the IRB have not gone away.
The IRB are here to today and here to stay to lead the way
We are now an open, all embracing all welcoming organisation with the freedom, independence, reunification, self-governing, self-sufficiency, prosperity and sovereignty of the Irish people as our objective. Irelands ancient and unique culture embodies the spirit of the Irish people and the Irish nation and we the Irish Republican Brotherhood are the living expression of that.
The Objectives of the IRB today are:
- The reestablishment and ratification of Dáil Éireann as established in 1919 and the upholding of the Irish Republic and its principles enshrined in the 1916 Proclamation.
- The recognition of the Irish people both individually and collectively as sovereign nationals and the recognition of the 1919 Dail Eireann Constitution subject to the sovereign people and the removal of all imposed institutions.
- The peaceful reunification of Ireland and the creation of a true Irish Republic within the framework of “A New Ireland Blueprint”.
- The recognition of the sovereignty and primacy of the living Irish man and Irish woman as the creators of all structures and institutions and who are therefore superior to them as their creation in all respects and not subject to them by any means.
- The recognition of the traditional family as a unit of sovereignty and a microcosm of the nation superior to all external structures and institutions and not subject to them.

- The disestablishment and removal of the corporate banking system and replacing it with ‘Peoples Banks’. Examples are the German model.
- The removal of corporate car insurance companies and replacing them with a national fuel insurance surcharge. This would be managed by local Housing Co-Ops and Housing Trusts.
- The immediate freezing moratorium and reversal of all eviction orders and repossession proceedings by banks and vulture funds. An ‘Irish Peoples Public Trust’ would be immediately set up to purchase all said properties for a fair sum adjudicated by a ‘People’s Public Tribunal’. This would be funded by 50 year bonds guaranteed and underwritten by the government holding the properties as collateral. The said properties would then be returned to the people who would complete their purchase (with all payments already made taken into account) by way of an extended, interest free “Ground Rent” in the manner in which the “Encumbered Estates” were purchased and the land returned to the people in the late 19th and early 20th

- The creation of a non-political Sovereign People’s Forum or An Seanad Nua with statutory power to oversee all government and state institutions on behalf of the people. Members could have no political or religious affiliation. This forum would have wide ranging “Oversee Powers” and would replace the present Seanad. They would act in a capacity of an Oireachtas Committee but with the same powers as the high court and they would make determinations similar to that of a jury. They would not be law makers but guardians of the people and protectors of the law. They would swear an oath to the sovereign Irish people as would all public figures and servants.
- The Sovereign People’s Forum would oversee the judiciary with the right to impeach, sanction and fire judges. Judges would be nominated with 50,000 people’s signatures and vetted and verified or rejected by the Sovereign Peoples Forum. All the courts including the Supreme Court would be subject to them. They could overturn any finding or any ruling at any level as the final arbiter.

- The establishment of a ‘National Self Sufficiency Initiation Board’ with rotating members from all areas of production and innovation. People with viable products would remain and see their initiative through to fruition and maybe beyond with protection and reward for their intellectual property.
- The establishment of a multi-disciplinary ‘Brains Trust’ to reach out to, learn from and interact with innovators worldwide. To bring back the goods.
- To connect with likeminded organisations and national sovereign movements worldwide for the purpose of mutual support and exchange of ideas and information.
The foregoing are Irish Republican Brotherhood proposals that can be enacted organically and incrementally and under the framework of ‘A New Ireland Blueprint’ the IRB’s framework for Irelands future viability and national prosperity.
The People, the Nation and the State
A people with a common history, heritage culture and background constitute a nation
The state is merely a construct of the mind of man. It has no life and no reality other than that given to it by living, flesh and blood men and women. Therefore, it is subject to its creators, the people. The same applies to all state institutions.
Any claims made by the state or other institutions that infringe the individual’s sovereign rights are repugnant to the inalienability of the inherent rights of the sovereign flesh and blood man or woman and are therefore repugnant to natural law which is superior to all other acts, statutes or laws.
Where there are no living flesh and blood people there is no state. Our energy creates the state and gives it life. It is therefore a creation of the people and no creation can in any way be superior or have superior rights to its creators. If we the people are not vigilant the state tends to become a monster that devours those who created it and give it life. Don’t complain about it, change it. The IRB is your instrument to do so, and we invite you to join us and make good use of it. Being a keyboard warrior can be useful but you can achieve a lot more by being part of an active vibrant IRB.
